The Core

OESH is the first shoe designed to flex and release, not at the moment of “impact” when the foot first contacts the ground, but later, when the foot is fully planted and the forces up from the ground are at their peak.

The inspiration for OESH came from years of measuring…and appreciating, the natural forces that occur during walking, running and standing… along with a bit of space-age material. A series of carbon fiber cantilevers are oriented in the sole in such a way that they compress and release in tune with when joint torques and other stresses through the body are at their peak.

← Fiber, Not Foam

The unique shape and orientation of the carbon fiber cantilevers allow them to follow the body’s natural motion. More→

The Void →

The most distinctive feature of OESH is the opening of the inside part of the sole, which is the OESH Void. There is nothing else in footwear with this architecture. More→

← Zero Drop

Even a seemingly “flat” traditional athletic or casual shoe has a small heel-to-forefoot “drop” which increases joint torques associated with osteoarthritis. OESH has a completely flat heel with a zero drop in the height of the sole from the heel to the forefoot. More→

Leave Impact Alone →

In line with research supporting that the small forces at the moment of impact may be beneficial, OESH purposely does not attempt to cushion impact. More →
