Adapting To Exile
Movie adaptations within comics are hardly renowned as masterpieces, as any comics and sci-fi fan of any experience will know. It is rare that one of these adaptations are a treasure unto themselves. Both Marvel and DC have repeatedly demonstrated how difficult and prone to self-parody the adaptation can really be. Only one company stands in contradiction to this, that being Dark Horse, whether you look at their Star Wars adaptations or more importantly, their renderings of the classic Aliens and Predator movies. Not even IDW have demonstrated that level of quality in direct adaptations. Spin-offs, extended universe and original material for their licenced properties, sure. IDW is a leader

Guilty Crown vs Sword Art Online
Guilty Crown and Sword Art Online are two anime that cater to the same demographic (male teens) and feature roughly equal amounts of action and flirting. Both have a young male protagonist who is thrust into battle and becomes the most powerful character. They also both have a strong female character that later ends up in the role of damsel-in-distress. Dr Cornelius. For once sharing something in common with the younger readers of this column, the very first film was released many years before I was born, and

Accel World Review
One of the more popular anime series that aired this year was Accel World, and for good reason. The series is based on the light novels of the same name written by Reki Kawahara and is 24 episodes long. An interesting fact that some people may not know is that it takes place in the same world as Sword Art Online, but further into the future. Accel World is set in a future where children have devices called neuro-linkers installed on their necks, which acts much like a personal computer that you always have access to. The main character, Haruyuki, is a short and fat high school boy that is
