ACCORDING to Karolina Kurkova, it takes more than just a pretty face to make it in the modelling industry these days: Twitter is the key to catwalk success. The Vogue cover girl insists that it's the best way for fashion hopefuls to convey their personality.

"It's important to use Twitter and social media now," Kurkova told The Daily Telegraph. "It is no longer enough to just look beautiful and be in great shape. You need to be interesting."

The 28-year-old - who has over 58 thousand Twitter followers - features as one of the judges and mentors in Naomi Campbell's new model-scouting reality television show, The Face.

"All the models that are emerging have personality," she said. "It's a way to get yours across."
