Today, Congressman Keith Ellison (MN-05) was endorsed by Progressive Democrats of America (PDA). “I’m proud and honored to receive the endorsement of an organization like the Progressive Democrats of America. Like my campaign, they’re working hard to organize voters from the bottom up at the grassroots level,” said Congressman Ellison.
He added that “organizations like PDA are standing up for progressive values across the America. They’ve been a key partner in the fight to protect voting rights, expand access to affordable health care, and to make sure we have a fair and equitable economy.”
PDA Minnesota members led by National Nurses United (NNU) Co-President Jean Ross brought Rep. Ellison's reelection to the U.S. House of Representatives from Minnesota's 5th Congressional District endorsement forward. Rep. Ellisons has been a strong progressive leader since he entered the House in 2007.
PDA works closely with the Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) on all our prioities: healthcare not warfare, economic and social justice, election reform, stopping global warming and ending corporate rule. As CPC Co-Chair Rep. Ellison has been there for us. He joined PDA at our 2008 Progressive Central events in Denver and has agreed to stand with us in Charlotte this year.
