Judging the Archon Genomics X PRIZE presented by Express Scripts

Creating a "Medical Grade" Standard

The Archon Genomics X PRIZE presented by Express Scripts created a “Validation Protocol” that defines for the first time what it means to have a complete and accurate “medical grade" whole human genome sequence.

The primary role of the Validation Protocol is to enable the X PRIZE Foundation to declare a winner of the $10 Million Competition in February 2013 without controversy. In addition we are working with key stakeholders to establish the Validation Protocol as a global, consensus-driven "medical grade" standard for genomic-based medicine.

Calling all scientists - help us set the standard for whole human genome sequencing

We’ve set up an interactive community dedicated specifically for this competition and issues arising out of the Validation Protocol. It’s a place to engage knowledgeable genomic and genetic researchers, academics, industry professionals and competition teams about any questions or comments you wish to submit. The Scientific Community is open to all interested parties.
