PENREADER SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT KIT PenReader is a solution which transforms handwritten text inputted by a user into printed text on the screen of device. User can write text in natural style, whether it is printed-like or cursive, in any direction - PenReader will recognize it. PenReader does not require any further learning, and is ready to use right after installation. 30 languages are supported and this list is constantly updated. Usage of PenReader can greatly increase convenience of text input into devices with touch-screen. Development of PenReader began in 1997, when it was first released on Newton system. Then in 1999 it was ported on Windows Mobile Platform. Recognition engine of printed-like letters for 28 languages was released in 2001 and then development of cursive text recognition began. Orthographical correction of recognition results was added in 2004. 2007 was the year, when full version of PenReader with cursive text recognition for Windows Mobile platform was released. Development of PenReader never stops, and our special division always works to make it better fit your needs. PenReader is a handwriting text recognition engine, capable for recognition of dynamic handwriting. It means that PenReader takes not only the pathway of the pen, but also direction and order of all gestures in symbols and letters into consideration. This recognition engine combines structural-lingual analysis of strokes, divides strokes into vectorial dimensions and creates logical composition classes of possible results. PenReader SDK includes recognition core engine .dll file built in C++, set of header files, sample codes, API, manual, and all needed support. With help of PenReader SDK, you can implement handwriting recognition function in your existing software, future projects, or even create brand new application, with built-in handwriting recognition system. PenReader SDK is cross-platform and can be easily adapted to almost any technical requirements.
