General Information

What is Mobiles24.com?
Mobiles24.com was setup for the one reason only; To give everybody the ability to make the most out of their mobile phone, without ever having to pull their wallet out!

Is Mobiles24's free download section really free?
Yes, downloading our items is completely free.

Is Mobiles24.com a subscription website and will you send me SMS messages?
We are NOT a subscription based website and we will never use your information to send you unsolicited SMS messages or e-mails. We maintain a zero tolerance policy on spam as we hate it as much as you do!

What are Reward Points (RP)?
Rewards Points are part of a contribution ranking system of which all members are included. To increase your RP score, you must contribute to the website by uploading ringtones, themes, videos or screensavers via the Public Upload System. Each upload is initially worth 0.5 - 1.0 RP, and further points can then be gained depending on the popularity average of your uploads. A minimal amount of RP can also be gained from helping on our phone forum, and reviewing phones in the phone database.

What is M24 Rank and how does it work?
The M24 Rank system ranks all uploads in the free downloads gallery according to how many downloads the upload has received (rank #1 being the highest achievable rank). Every upload is ranked on both a global and category basis, each having a seperate rank for all-time downloads, downloads per-week and downloads per-month. The ranking system is updated daily and includes up/down indicators displaying how many ranks your upload has moved in the past week, if at all.

I can't turn off the family filter, how do I turn it off?
The family filter can sometimes become corrupt and get stuck. To resolve this, you must clear the cookies in your browser. In Firefox, Click "Tools" > Options > Select "Privacy" > Click "Show Cookies" > Click "Remove All Cookies". In Internet Explorer 7, Click Tools > Internet Options > Click "Delete" > Click "Delete Cookies...". Restart your browser and the family filter will work.

Why can't I log in?
You must be a registered member in order to log in. To register, please click here.

I have forgotten my username/password, what do I do?
In order to retrieve your username/password, please use this form and we will send them to you via e-mail.

I have successfully registered but did not receive my registration mail?
SPAM filters can occassionally stop such e-mails from getting through. Check your spam folder to make sure it hasn't been received. If you haven't received it, please click here and we'll re-send the validation e-mail.

I logged in, but when I begin surfing the website, I get signed out again.
In order for you to remain logged in, Mobiles24.com needs cookies to remember your login information from one page to the next. To avoid this problem, your browser (and firewall) must accept cookies. In Microsoft Internet Explorer you must ensure that the security and privacy settings are set to medium.

We don't currently allow username modification.

Download Help

How do I download items to my phone?
All items in our free downloads gallery can be downloaded either directly to your phone via WAP, or by downloading to your PC and using Infrared, Bluetooth, or Serial Cable to transfer it to your phone.

Does it cost me anything to download?
Mobiles24.com does not charge you anything to use and download items from the free downloads gallery. However, if you choose to download our content via WAP, your network provider may charge you. Please see your tariff for more information.

What are download credits?
Download credits are used to limit the amount of items a user can download in any 24 hour period. Every 24 hours we automatically issue 30 new download credits to every member, which can then be used to download items from our free downloads gallery. Each download costs 1 free download credit.

How do I get more download credits?
You must wait until we issue more download credits to your account.. We do not currently offer the option to acquire further credits than are currently (automatically) issued.

I've downloaded an item to my phone but it doesn't work. Why not?
Some downloads may not be compatible with a particular phone. Please check your phone's documentation to ensure it is compatible with the file format you are attempting to download.

What mobile phones / cell phones do you support?
We support the majority of mobile phones. However, please note that some networks (ie. Verizon) limit access to free downloads from websites/wapsites such as Mobiles24.com. For more information on network compatibility, see carriers section.

Can I use the Mobiles24.com in any country?
Yes, no matter where you're located, Mobiles24.com is only few keypresses away!

I've downloaded an item via WAP and it used my download credits?
This will only happen when you are asked to login to the wapsite and is a measure to prevent mass-theft / leeching of our free downloads.

WAP (Mobile Internet) Help

What is WAP?
WAP allows you to surf the internet through your mobile phone. WAP was developed to suit handheld devices enabling access to files and pages (commonly called "wapsites") on the internet, fast and securely. Mobiles24.com has it's own wapsite at wap.mobiles24.com

Can I use WAP?
The majority of mobile phones are WAP enabled. However, you're phone may not be pre-configured to access WAP, in which case you will need contact your service provider and they will send you your WAP settings.

How do I configure my phone to use WAP?
A large majority of phones now come pre-configured with WAP settings. If you're phone is not configured, we recommend that you contact your service provider and ask for your WAP settings to be sent to you.

When I login into the wapsite, I get sent back to the login page?
This usually happens when "cookies" are not enabled on the phone. Try finding the "cookie" setting on your phone via it's internet/wap menu and try again. Before attempting to re-access the site, it is recommended that you also clear the cache on your phone in order to remove any old data (cached wap pages).

Why does it ask me to login to the wapsite when I'm using my mobile?
Unfortunately, many phone browsers do not contain the required information in order for your phone to be identified as a mobile phone browser. It is therefore seen as a normal internet browser which is why you must login in order to use the wapsite.

I get an error message when download from, or using your wapsite?
This could be due to several factors. The majority of phones are limited in what file size they are able to download, the most common limit being 250 KB. Unfortunately, there is not a lot you (or we) can do to avoid the problem. If you encounter this issue, we suggest downloading the item to your PC first, then transferring the item to your phone via Bluetooth, Infrared or Cable. Error messages are also commonly caused when you attempt to download an incompatible file to your phone; when you have a low signal; or when the network is unstable.

Does it cost to use WAP?
It depends on what tariff or service plan you are on. Many network providers / operators offer inclusive WAP minutes and/or data allowance. However, we recommend that you check with your provider first before using WAP.
