Taskwarrior is a command-line todo list manager.¶

It maintains a list of tasks that you want to do, allowing you to add/remove, and otherwise manipulate them. Task has a rich list of subcommands that allow you to do sophisticated things with it. You'll find it has customizable reports, charts, GTD features, Lua extensions, device synching and more.

Taskwarrior is a very active project involving people around the globe - check often for updates.

(Instructions on how to download and install task on Fedora, Ubuntu and other Linux versions, Mac OS X or Cygwin via the corresponding packages can be found on the Download page). Most major platforms are supported.

After installing, check out the 30-second Tutorial page. Try the full Tutorial, if you really want to see what it can do. Take at look at the themes now available. You can also watch several screencasts in the gallery.

Need to accomplish a task in a certain date intervall?
You can use the scheduled attribute for this:
task add scheduled:10th due:20th Visit the museum
