Everyone's Notes
I've been reading this book all summer (thus the infinite summer blog/group)and have just over 200 pages left. If I read 24 pages between now and next Monday I will finish on time. I think its worth the try (I suspect there are some nasty footnotes that'll make the race a bit more challenging). I loved and sometimes really disliked this book. Never bored, frequently overwhelmed and finally curious where it all will be going. What I do know is that I don't want to be spending too much more time with Lenzt or with Maranthe on one of his jobs.
over 3 years agoI'm moving along much more swiftly now. I know this is not exactly a book to read for plot, but I do feel like, after page 400 or so, enough pieces are in place that I'm not falling into holes quite so often. And yes, there's some beautiful stuff here.

over 3 years agoI'm reading along with Infinite Summer, and enjoying the book so far. A few years back, I read less than a hundred pages, and since then the book has been sitting, blue-spined and hopeful, on my bookcase, while I read other things. Time to see what all the fuss is about.

about 4 years agoAfter nearly a decade this book hasn't faded too much from my mind. An amazing book, and now, perhaps, too sad.
