More laughable distortions from the Locke Foundation
Compare and contrast the following items:
This is a Locke Foundation headline from this afternoon on The Locker Room blog:
“N&O verdict: NC Real Solutions ad is true”
This is what the N&O said:
“The ad is true – as far as it goes. The ad’s claim that the budget added 2,000 more state-funded teachers doesn’t represent the whole picture. In the end, the number of teachers in the state decreased this school year by about 1 percent. The ad could leave viewers with a false impression.”
This is just embarrassing. It’s as if the following back and forth had taken place:
Locke people: “The sky is green.’
N&O: ”While it’s true that the colors blue and green share some similarities, it’s misleading to say the sky is not blue.”
Locke people: “See, they said our claim is ‘true’!”

March 21, 2012 at 11:13 amWhich is why I don’t get my news from MSNBC. Perhaps you should rethink Locke Foundation though. Their reporting is highly biased. Follow the money.

March 21, 2012 at 3:02 pmIt looks like the money came from Washington. They funded teachers as part of the federal stimulus that supposed to stimulate the economy. All it did was supplement the state budget. It did not function as they wanted it to. How were we able to function without that federal funding the year prior?

March 21, 2012 at 3:50 pmI can always trust the locke foundation to apply multiple layers of bovine scatology on anything they comment on. The fine people at locke can be counted on misrepresent and bend the truth everytime, they’re consitent, I’ll give them that.
