Engemann Health Center opens
The five-story, 101,000-square-foot Roger and Michele Dedeaux Engemann Student Health Center officially opened Jan. 29. The state-of-the-art facility houses medical and dental care, counseling, occupational and physical therapy and other services.

Watch the Women of Troy make their lacrosse debut
Circle Saturday, Feb. 9 on your calendar and prepare to make a trip to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum for a special Trojan first: the debut of the USC women's lacrosse team. Coached by Lindsey Munday, a member of the U.S. Women's National Team, the Women of Troy play top-ranked Northwestern, Munday's alma mater.
Sol Golomb gets a medal with meaning
One of the world's great minds in math and engineering, Sol Golomb received the National Medal of Science from President Barack Obama in a ceremony in Washington, D.C. on Feb. 1. Only last year the USC Viterbi School of Engineering professor celebrated his 50th year at the university.
Could engineers make Dr. Phil obsolete?
If men are from Mars and women are from Venus, USC Viterbi engineers want to bring the planets together. Engineers are using computing and algorithms to analyze how partners talk with and act toward each other, even subtly. Their aim: new tools that marriage and family counselors could use to save troubled relationships.
