But our ranks also include many other professions that work on our projects and on our customers' projects, such as R&D engineers, consultants, sales managers, project managers, technical managers and all support positions that help businesses run well.
Your qualifications
- A web technical project manager at SensioLabs performs many jobs: sales rep, marketing rep, technical writer, resource manager, translator, formatter, hotline support staff, etc. You must have excellent organizational skills, keep your cool every step of the way, be available at any time for anyone, and do all this with a smile and a good sense of humor. As the men and women that run our office, our project managers wear multiple hats, are independent workers and passionate, with good knowledge of Web and Open Source technologies and speak English perfectly (or at least fluently).
- A SensioLabs developer likes to write code. You get excited talking about PHP5, Symfony, MySQL or Apache. And don't even get you started on Scrum! Among your fellow developers, you write code passionately and enthusiastically for major projects. Your code writing is clean and elegant and complies with Web standards. You seize every opportunity you are given to learn and grow, from the most renowned experts in your field. You sometimes enjoy making project managers' lives difficult (and project managers do the same to you), but you always work enthusiastically with the entire team to successfully complete fascinating, added value projects.
- As a technical consultant at SensioLabs, you are an expert in technical and software architecture. You perform technical audits, provide technical coaching, create technical components to integrate technical features and speak technical English. You are a technical expert with significant technical experience. You are also a considerate, flexible, available and frank man or woman known for your ability to relate to others and who knows how take work seriously, without taking yourself seriously as well. A walking technical reference for all our employees, our consultants are first and foremost passionate about technologies and have an innovative vision of Web applications.
How the hiring process works
We are looking for people with a high school diploma and an associate's or bachelor's degree with ideally at least 3 years experience. We review all applications, however, and consider all applicants, including those that do not fit the mold.
The hiring process for each position has two interviews. At the first, we meet you and assess your overall knowledge. At the second, we get to know you better, possibly test your technical skills and assess your level of motivation.
For project manager positions, the first interview is with a project director or manager, the second with the management team. For developers, the first interview is by telephone with a developer and the second with a manager. For technical consultants, the first interview is with the head of the Consulting Department, the second with the management team.
