GBHXonline Service Offerings
Intro: We offer a number of services here at GBHXonline. In addition to providing hosting for blog publishing platforms and standalone web sites, we will also host web applications such as forums, galleries, wikis, and much more. The type of application used is up to you, we’ll just load it for you if it’s a secure, supported version (keep reading for details). On this page we will cover general details, support types, WordPress installations, our guarantee, and server uploads and access.
General Details
We offer Dell PowerEdge servers running Apache server software. We have a phenomenal uptime track record (99% uptime is guaranteed). The machines are physically located in Virginia. They feature up to 12gb (x4) of RAM. The processors have a clock speed of more than 3ghz, and we offer a ton of storage. In addition to that mentioned, we have available:
- MySQL database server.
- PHP scripting support.
- Web mail (POP3 mail server) email.
- Comprehensive domain statistics.
- Incremental daily backups.
- FTP access (optional, see plans).
- Various support types

Support Types
We offer three levels of support, as described:
- Emergency Support
- If your server is down, can’t connect, getting server-related errors, mailserver not delivering or stalled, hacking attempts noted, etc. Any items like this are considered emergency support services and are always free.
- Base Support
- This is the support that comes with all plans and includes activity such as uploading files, creating databases (labor), adding email accounts, adding directories, etc. Anything not related to your site and within the scope of our agreement, if it is within the monthly allocation of time (more than enough for most clients), it will be considered base support.
- Extra Support
- Anything that is not emergency or base support, is extra support. Extra support will either come with a plan as part of the package or may be purchased. Extra support includes just about anything, work performed, etc. However, for web design or development, contact Mike Cherim directly.

WordPress Installations
We specialize in hosting WordPress, used as a blogging platform or as a site’s content management system (CMS). When you request WordPress installed, we will perform the following:
- Create your MySQL database.
- Install the latest non-beta version of WordPress.
- Load any plugins, themes, widgets (you supply, else default provided).
- Create a hardened backups directory (if requested).
- Make your theme and/or plugin files writable (if requested).
This is considered base support and is included. For an extra support fee we will also configure and set it up for you, adding other “security-hardened” directories (for images, downloads, etc., see support types), done right. Note: We are not accepting WordPress projects at this time.

Server Uploads and Access
Unless you have a plan with, or specified FTP access when you placed your order (or adding it later), we will upload files and directories for you, complete with our necessary security- and labor time-restrictions. This is our base support. We will also make writable the files you wish. If it’s not for WordPress, you will need to specify anything and everything you want as we aren’t versed in the installation of all applications.

Uptime Guarantee
Quite simply, we have a 99.9% uptime-guarantee. If for whatever reason an outage is caused by us or our equipment, we will apply a refund or account extension to cover the downtime period. We cannot honor downtime caused by you or your site, hackers, national emergencies (acts of war or terrorism), weather or other “acts of God,” or area outages caused by faulty Internet routers outside of our control.
