Our 2013 Hoopcamp Presenter Invitational

How would you like to be one of three lucky hoopers who will be invited to teach this year at Hoopcamp 2013? The 2013 Hoopcamp Presenter Invitational is your opportunity to do just that and spin a dream into a reality. Hoopcamp is looking for your workshop and in partnership with Hooping.org, together we are holding the first annual Hoopcamp Presenter Invitational, a search for the next great workshops to be offered at Hoopcamp 2013.
This year we are looking for programs that explore our theme for 2013: “A Hooper’s Life: Dancing Your Light”. Within our theme this year we will be spinning up the many facets of hooping as a path towards expressing your passion, and through this focus – tuning into finding the right livelihood for you in gifting your creative talent and expression to your community and beyond. What are the opportunities for really allowing yourself to get in touch with what gives you joy and to dance your unique light with purpose? And how can you embrace this as a compliment to a profession or even as a new bold path?
For the Hoopcamp Presenter Invitational we’d like you to allow us into your hoop world as a dancer, teacher, or performer. In a brief three-minute video we’d like you to present an introductory sample of your workshop that also weaves in your hooping life story. Share your inspiration as an invitation to allow others to step into a hoop journey of their very own, accessing their flow or boldly dance their light!
We will selecting THREE (3) presenters to offer workshops at Hoopcamp 2013 this year. Three selected Hoopcamp Invitational participants will then be presenting a 1.5 hour workshop at Hoopcamp 2013 – the largest annual gathering specifically for hoopers anywhere in the world. You’ll each receive a comped camping package ticket to Hoopcamp 2013 as well, allowing you to attend this award winning event for free. So get thinking and creating, then submit the url for your workshop sample to hoopcampinfo@gmail.com no later than Wednesday, February 20th, at 11:59pm PST. Our Hoopcamp Presenter Invitational Winners will be announced and showcased on Hooping.org on Monday, February 25th. So mark your calendars now for Hoopcamp 2013, being held October 2nd – October 6th, 2013, at a Tibetan Retreat Center in Santa Cruz, California, USA. Registration for Hoopcamp 2013 attendees officially opens on Friday, March 1st, 2013.

Anton Monastyrsky

If you don’t know the name Anton Monastyrsky, then you’ve been missing out on a truly amazing hooping talent. The Russian hula hoop performer has such mad skills he literally spins circles around most of the competition. A fourth generation circus performer, Anton began performing at the age of 10. His success developed and increased while working as the most famous variety performer in Germany where he earned his nickname, the ‘Lord of the Ring’. He’s currently performing with Cirque d’Hiver Bouglione de Paris in Paris, France, where this performance was filmed and he lives in Moscow, Russia. A Hooping.org Video of the Day.
