How is the coffee roasted?
- began on home made grill drum roasters and air poppers
- then for a year and a half roasted on a Sivetz, 8 lb. Fluid bed Air roaster
- currently Grinderman Coffee is roasted on a 1930′s, 15 kilo, Probat Drum roaster
Grinderman Coffee began roasting on propane gas grills that I modified into small batch drum roasters. This method was not scientific but did enhance my senses to smell, look, and listen to coffee roasting. I have roasted coffee with heat guns, in Griswold skillets over a campfires, modified propane grills , pop corn poppers, Sivetz fluid bed air roasters, as well as 5 , 15 , 45 , and 60 Kilo Drum roasters. Understanding green coffee, sourcing green coffee, roasting coffee, finding importers that are knowledgable and trustworthy of the quality of coffee they offer, how the coffee is sourced and purchased, these are all a never ending missions of Grinderman Coffee. I believe coffee links this world together in many ways, seen and unseen. Coffee can be amazing. Choose it wisely. Grinderman Coffee.
