Applications Area

This website provides information related to the IETF Applications Area, which tends to focus on protocols presented in user-oriented programs such as email and the web. A more detailed description is provided on this site, as are pages about various policies and procedures we follow. The IETF website contains a list of the current working groups in the Applications Area. For discussion, join the apps-discuss mailing list.

This website is maintained by current and former Area Directors in their copious spare time (that's a joke, BTW....), so suggestions for changes and clarifications will be most welcome, but will not necessarily be acted upon immediately; suggestions that contain text to put here stand a better chance than other stuff!
