Worldwide PC Shipments Hit 62.7 million in Q1 2007, Says Gartner

spacer Worldwide PC shipments totaled 62.7 million units in the first quarter of 2007, a 8.9 percent increase from the same period last year, according to preliminary results by Gartner, Inc. The Asia/Pacific region surpassed the U.S. PC market to take the No. 2 position in terms of shipments for the first time.

Global Broadband Subscribers to Double by 2011 to Hit 620 million

Video Game Addiction: 81% of American Youth Play; 8.5% are Addicted

Reports from around the world suggest that gaming addiction is real and on the rise. With nearly 8 in 10 American youth (81%) playing video games at least one time per month, including 94% of all boys playing, this certainly raises concerns about video game addiction.

IPTV Rising: 92% CAGR to 103 million in 2011

Global IPTV subscribers will rise to 103 million in 2011, expanding at a whopping Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 92.5% up from 3.9 million in 2006, iSuppli Corp. predicts. This translates into $39.1 billion in revenue, up by a factor of more than 40 from $960.5 million in 2006.

$48 billion Federal Phone Deal Goes to Qwest, AT&T, Verizon
