My friend and I visited the Museum of Sex primarily so we could say we did on our trip to NYC, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Not exploitative at all, it was actually interesting and baldly factual about sex in all facets, both human AND animal. Several of the exhibits are interactive, and although I was little skeeved about touching them, I figured that's why God invented hand sanitizer.
Photography IS allowed, and I'm glad...the prices on the souvenir items in the shop were a bit over the top, so the photos I took ended up being mine! Especially the one of the reflection of my friend and I in the "circle of penises" hologram. Priceless!Listed in: I Love NYC, The Yelp 100 Challenge

The gift shop is awesome here. Especially for bachelorette party gear!
Some of the exhibits are quite interesting actually. I remember at one visit they had a photo exhibit deatiling penis whorship...who knew you could put pinkies up one...I've learned something new at each visit :)
It's funny to watch visitors blush, turn bright red and turn away from some of the exhibits. Lighten up people and have some fun....protected please...Listed in: DONE 2013 Yelp 100 Challenge
