Competition and Consumer Enforcement Bulletin and Numbering

The Competition and Consumer Enforcement Bulletin contains details of competition and other regulatory enforcement casework handled by Ofcom. The Numbering area notifications provide weekly updates on details of allocations and availability of UK Telephone Numbers.

Consumer Information

Ofcom publishes many documents that contain issues or information that are relevant to consumers and consumer organisations. By subscribing to this service you will be sent information on Ofcom's work to inform and protect consumers.

Media Literacy

Media literacy describes a person's skills, knowledge and understanding of the media and telecommunications. By being media literate people will be able to make the most of the opportunities available to them through broadcasting and online services. GPS Jamming

The Ministry of Defence conduct occasional tests on military systems which may result in some loss of service to civilian users of the Global Positioning System (GPS) including in-car navigation devices and networks which rely on GPS signals. Ofcom seeks to provide citizens and consumers with information about possible interruptions to these services via these email updates giving advanced notification of these tests. It must be emphasised that this notification process only warns of future jamming excercises that are brought to the notice of Ofcom and may not cover all jamming exercises. It cannot be assumed that any loss of service is due to jamming exercises.
