Announcement of Reaccreditation

The University of Kansas Master of Public Health Program (KU-MPH) is proud to announce that we have been reaccredited by the Council of Education on Public Health (CEPH) until July 1, 2018. If you would like a copy of our final self study and CEPH accreditation report, please contact Tanya Honderick at (913) 588-2720 or thonderick@kumc.edu.

The Master of Public Health degree program at the University of Kansas has campuses in both Kansas City and Wichita. Ranked as the sixth best community health graduate degree in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, we continually work to increase the quality and quantity of our teaching, research, and service.

The KU-MPH degree program is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) and is a 42 credit hour graduate program with concentrations in epidemiology, social and behavioral health, environmental health sciences, public health management, and biostatistics. Students complete five core courses in epidemiology, environmental health, social and behavioral sciences, public health administration, and biostatistics. Four hours are devoted to required labs in epidemiology and data management, 12 hours are concentration specific, and five hours are general electives. The final six hours involve a culminating practicum experience, called a Capstone Project.

KU-MPH graduates serve in a wide variety of public health fields, including clinical medicine, research, health education, disease surveillance and the academic setting.
