Hauppauge Digital has come up with another solution for watching TV remotely when youre away from home with the WinTV PVR USB2.

Although its main function is to stream TV to your mobile phone or notebook computer from a PC at home, it also allows access to all your media files, including photographs and audio tracks.

The WinTV PVR USB2 plugs into a home PC and, with the help of an aerial, then streams content through the broadband connection.

The technology automatically detects the connection quality of the mobile phone or PDA, and compresses video accordingly, so that content can be watched over wifi-enabled and 3G mobile devices.

It requires no extra software on the mobile device; it works through web browsers.

WinTV PVR USB2 costs around 100 and is available from most high street and online electronics stores.
