EU aid has delivered amazing, lifesaving results for millions of people in the poorest countries in the world. Between 2004-9 EU Aid helped:
EU aid works. Between 2004 and 2009, it helped enroll more than 9 million children in primary education, vaccinate 5.5 million children against measles, and connect more than 31 million people to clean water.
But this lifesaving work is now under threat.
Europe's leaders are in the midst of crucial budget negotiations and some leaders are proposing cuts to these lifesaving programs. This would have a devastating impact on the world's poorest.
