Saturday, February 9th is the 6th Annual Pretty & Polished Day! This year we aim to shower the nursing home residents we visit each month with overwhelming affection.  The congregations at Frontline Tysons and Frontline Arlington have made a mountain of valentines for us to pass out and we've got a special clean-up project planned for Powhatan Nursing Home.  And of course, there are nails to paint!  Won't you join us and help make it a special day for the senior citizens we serve?  Signup links are below:

Preparations for our 6th annual Pretty & Polished Day are underway!  Our goal is to shower the residents P&P visits each month with overwhelming affection.  Here's how you can help:

Valentine-Making
Stop by the P&P tables before and after services and make a personal card for a nursing home resident. We'll bring have all the supplies you need:
- Frontline Tysons Jan 27th
- Frontline Arlington Jan 28th and Feb 3rd

Smallgroup Service Projects
- Serve together on February 9th with one of the volunteer teams.
- Send a representative(or two) from your group with a bunch of flowers to give to residents on February 9th.
- Make Valentines during your smallgroup time and P&P will deliver them for you.

Individual Volunteers
- Serve with one of the teams heading into nursing homes on Feb 9th.
- Lead the clean-up crew heading to Powhatan Nursing Home on Feb 9th to bless the residents and staff by doing some chores for them.

The P&P leadership team is truly grateful for the 21 volunteers who showed up on Saturday, January 12 to lavish attention on the residents at Culpepper Garden, Sunrise at Bluemont Park and Powhatan Nursing Home.  To those who served, we give you our sincere thanks.

Valentine's Day is right around the corner and for the last five years Pretty & Polished has worked hard to make our residents feel especially loved.  If you or your smallgroup is interested in helping us head up the effort this year, please drop me an email at prettyandpolished@mcleanbible.net and Nina will get you information on how to get involved in this one-time volunteer opportunity. 

Also, for those volunteers living in the Falls Church area - we are seeking out a new male co-lead to serve beside Allison Holzgang at Powhatan nursing home.  If God is placing our ministry on your heart, please get in touch with me or Allison.  Leadership commitments take about 5-7 hours per month including our nursing home visits on the second Saturday of each month.
