WHEREAS, Jack Tempchin currently resides in the San Diego County community of Encinitas; and

WHEREAS, Jack Tempchins hit songs were written in San Diego and have been recorded and performed around the world by the super group known as the Eagles; and

WHEREAS, two of Jack Tempchins biggest hits landed on the Best Selling Album of the 20th Century; and

WHEREAS, Jack Tempchins most famous song heard around the world is Peaceful Easy Feeling and was officially released as a single by the Eagles in 1972; and

Frey first heard Tempchin play "Peaceful Easy Feeling" when he and Tempchin were at Jackson Browne's home in Hollywood. "The Eagles had been together for barely a week at the time, but Frey immediately recognized a great song when he heard it. A gentle song with a lilting melody and carefully honed lyrics of aspirational love, "Peaceful Easy Feeling" sounds both personal and universal.
