Founded in 2012, Eidyn: The Edinburgh Centre for Epistemology, Mind and Normativity is a new advanced research centre at the University of Edinburgh, based in the School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences.
Eidyn draws on Edinburgh’s long-standing international reputation for cutting-edge research in epistemology, ethics (especially meta-ethics), and philosophy of mind and cognitive science. The centre will be hosting major collaborative research projects across all these areas, alongside smaller pilot projects and other research activity. Its mission is to make a profound and long-lasting contribution to philosophical scholarship in these fields, and in the process to provide a dedicated training environment for postgraduate students and early career academics.
