Crystal City is transforming. A strong Crystal City identity and developing loyalty are propelling a renewed interest and reinvestment in Arlington’s largest downton. With the Arlington County Board’s passing of the Crystal City Sector Plan in the fall of 2010, developers, investors, and planners began to implement the vision. New residences, new offices, new restaurants and retail, top-down renovations, streetcar lines, new green spaces, upgraded pedestrian streetscapes, improved urban tree canopies, bicycle infrastructure, new road connections, and two-way conversions are all well underway. Welcome to the new Crystal City.
