MetaSys was completing 15 years and we were very excited about it. We decided to
celebrate it in a very unusual manner. We chose to go for some adventure sports
and zeroed on ‘Headrush – Urban Extreme’ at Powai to get our doze of adrenaline
rush.

All of us were geared up for our adventure on the Sunday morning, and that Sunday
morning was definitely not a lazy one. The zeal was so strong, it spread out to
our spouses and children too and even they opted to join us. The presence of our
old friends just doubled the thrill.

We first tested our combat warrior skills with Paintball, where we all were pitted
against each other blasting paintballs at the opposite team while defending ours.
We painted the place red while painting each other yellow. So much so that even
the non players like Purvi and Vrushali got a little taste (paint) of our play.

The treasure hunt that followed pumped in a lot of excitement and enthusiasm but
took the breadth out of us. Running around looking for the clues and bumping into
each other, all of us looked like school children hunting for their toffees. The
guys made us take a real good look at their property, and we were not complaining
at all.

Some of us tried our hands on riding ATVs or dirt bikes on the puddle ridden track.
By the end of the drive, it looked as if it had rained mud that day. In fact, Alroy
had to be given a pipe bath to make him recognizable.

One thing we noticed was that probably the stars were feeling a little blue that
day since it was always the blue team that won.

Braving the October heat, we all were having so much fun, it looked like even the
sun wanted to join in. It became hotter by the minute, but we just did not care.
The warmth in our hearts was the only thing that mattered.

The guys at Papa John’s proved to be the perfect hosts and served us some delicious
food. Hungry and exhausted as we were, we would have eaten up the cutlery too. By
the end of the meal, most of us were hoping they would serve us beds too.

When we parted that day, despite the exertion, we felt like all of us were 15 year
olds bubbling with exuberance. The fond memories of the 15th anniversary celebration
will dwell in our hearts and minds for years to come.
