Public Affairs
Northern New Mexico College Public Affairs Department produces internal and external communications and handles all relations with media. This includes press releases targeting coverage in local and regional press, as well as web and radio.
The P.A. office has, in the past, published a monthly newspaper insert, the northernstar, back issues of which can be found on this website by following the northernstar link to the left of this page.
Along with Northern’s IT team and publications staff, the Department of Public Affairs is in the process of transforming Northern’s web site into a dynamic and user-friendly medium.
Canal Seis, the College’s television station, also managed by the Public Affairs office, is the broadcasting medium for NNMC athletics, community events, and student activities.
Northern’s Department of Public Affairs exists additionally as designated custodian of all public records. Requests can be made to Susan Meredith, Chief of Staff.
