Associate of Applied Science Radiologic Technology

The Radiologic Technology program at Northern New Mexico College is a two year (22-month) program accredited through the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). Students will prepare to meet the health care needs of the community by functioning as a Radiologic Technologist in hospitals, clinics, doctors' offices, and in similar health delivery agencies. Upon completion of the program the student will be awarded an Associate of Applied Science degree and is eligible to take the National Registry examination through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Passing the National Registry exam also fulfills the New Mexico requirements for licensure.

Formal application and acceptance into the program is necessary before a student may enroll in any RAD designated courses. Applicants who are not accepted and wish to continue to be considered for the program must re-apply for the following year. Students who have been in the program and have interrupted their education due to academic or personal reasons are eligible to reapply to the program with Program Director approval.
