  • Mermaid Victorian revival calling cardsspacer

This little lady is not actually Victorian. You can tell by the heavy-lidded come-hither look in her eyes, as well as the little four-pointed star that winks off of her bubble. She’s a relic of the early seventies, and I’ve enhanced that by treating her to a psychedelic color wash. Your page of printed cards will provide you with two each of your chosen colorway; You can offer whatever matches your mood. Isn’t she adorable? She’s adorable! I can think of a hundred uses for her myself.   That bubble could provide you with a place for your favorite motto,…

  • Black and green embroidered lace Jabotspacer

Rich Pine Green on Black is the color scheme. A black chiffon neck piece, lace-trimmed, bears two gathered tiers of baroque schiffli lace, also called “re-embroidered” lace. Our gentleman frontier trader friend, Cal, shows just how manly a spot of lace can be. These jabots are designed to fit most– from 14 to 21 inch neck size. If you desire something under or over that, simply contact me to arrange a modification at no extra charge. tools

  • shimmering grey cravat with deco lace insertspacer

Tough guys wear what they want. Who’s going to stop you from wearing a bit o’ lace if you feel so inclined? And this is nobody’s namby-pamby excuse for elegance, either, it’s a look with attitude. The Cluny lace was once black, but it’s been battered and bleached into subtly desperate shades of grey and taupe. It trims a scrap of dove grey iridescent plain weave fabric, long enough to wrap about your neck and tie in the front. There’s a beautiful Art Deco lace insert adorning the top tie, (because too much is never enough) that has been mistreated…

  • Black Tulle Rhinestone-spangled Jabotspacer

Brilliant Czech rhinestones spangle two layers of black tulle, underlayed by black semi-transparent chiffon. The neck piece is unlined chiffon, edged with a rough-cut inch or so of the tulle engathered. Fobbishness at its most outrageous! And of course it will look exquisite on a feminine neck as well. These jabots are one size fits most, from 14 inches to 21 inch neck size, if you are smaller or larger than that, please contact me for a little bit of customizing at no charge.

  • Vintage home made teddy bear 1940s-60′sspacer

This tubby little lady is crafted from cotton flannel and I think she’s stuffed with kapok, since she weighs in pretty hefty. She was a warm tan; now she shows fading in many places, most noticeably on the top of her big solid head. She has glass eyes. Her yellow flannel paws are in very nice shape and so are all her joints– which are the real thing. her head turns, too! I have never seen a home sewing pattern that looks quite like her. I think that she was made from the remains of a commercial bear. She’s beautifully…

  • A Two Headed Rabbitspacer

This– or is it these– little rabbit(s) is– or are– bright eyed and playful, despite their apparent deformity. Recently, Probablepossible was made aware of the plight of a number of little animals who had been kept in a loving home. The decease of their owner– a small individual with a distracted manner and an extraordinary ocular prosthesis adoring one temple– has left these critters in need of new homes. Upcycled from beanie plushies. guidelines

  • Delicate Knitted Lace Jabot Antique Whitespacer

This vintage lace is extraordinary and unusual, a machine knit in mercerized cotton. I put it on a base of old, textured seersucker for a touch of weight, and gave each jabot two tiers. The effect is gothic and dignified, as this gentleman demonstrates. A marvellous choice for men and women alike. My jabots are cleverly designed for comfort, and one size fits most, meaning from fourteen inch to twenty-one inch neck size. If you fall outside these parameters, just contact me for a gratis modification.

  • Hollywood Style Riding Hatspacer

Once upon a time in Hollywood, there was a place called Western Costume. This building was legendary, housing bazillions of garments from all the eras of human life. You could rent twenties-style morning suits for your groom and his best man. You could rent pirate garb for a day of hijinks out on your millionaire friend’s yacht. You could costume your actors for that film that was going to make you into the next Cicil B. De Mill. You could find Raquel Welch’s fur bikini. When the rental palace closed down, the sales were the highlight of the Hollywood summer.…

  • Slender spooky Emu feathers natural colorspacer

At least forty feathers in each bag, from 4 (FOUR) inches long to, sometimes, as long as 8(EIGHT) inches. Skinny as string… If skeletons grew feathers they might look like these. If there were grasshopper angels, they might fly on wings made of these feathers. Brian Froud’s goblins steal these for their formal attire. If you are looking for something ethereal and macabre, delicate and moldering* to trim your mask, bodice, fan, sword belt– you have been looking for Emu feathers all this time. This is the listing of changing my mind. I couldn’t remember what the bird was for…

  • Deco Swag Rhinestone Necklacespacer

15 inch Rhinestone necklace, consisting of four swags gathered at five lager, emerald-cut points. There are some stones missing, one in one of the swags, four to the left of the swag design, and one somewhere on the right. They can be replaced, but it’s difficult to find color matches, even with white stones. The clasp has always seemed to me to be a bit too ornate for the clean deco lines of this piece, but that’s the way of rhinestone jewelry. I was really into old rhinestones in the seventies. I mean– really. The sparkle from a hundred tiny…

Sock monkies– and sock frogs and the occasional sock elephant. Elderly teddy bears. and my newest passion– my collection of gothic freak plushies, repurposed from those bean-filled toys that were so very popular ten years ago.
