In 2006, Kevin and Kimberly Grogan, took a leap of faith and bought Gear for Multisport. With our backgrounds in physical education and retail, we thought it would be a great way to combine our passions, and be able to help people find items that will help them on their pursuit of an active, healthy life. We have done just that for years now and have gotten to continue our training for running and triathlon as well.

Thousands of customers have trusted us and our staff with their multisport purchases over the years because of our expertise. We not only learn the products and the changes the companies might make in them, we also use the products everyday in our training and racing. While we have collected medals and trophies for over a decade in this sport, it isn’t so much about those as it is living the lifestyle of an athlete that helps us to be able to recommend the right products.

Kimberly ran in college at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. She has qualified for Ironman Hawaii three times including a breakout performance at Ironman Louisville 2011, where she finished 1st amatuer female and 9th overall including professionals. In 2008 she won the overall title at the Redman Ironman in Oklahoma, and her PR in the Ironman distance is 10:20:44. Kimberly enjoys as many long training days as she can.

On the other hand, Kevin races. He usually spends Monday & Tuesday morning looking on the web for a local race(s) each weekend and the rest of the week racing, as many as 4 in 1 week.He won the Xterra Regional Triathlon Title in his age group for two seasons & also enjoys longer trail runs/races. Besides that, he enjoys sprint triathlons, bike races, running races. In once stretch in 2008, Kevin had four overall victories in six days. He has also gone 9:25 at IMFL and has been to Ironman championships in Hawaii twice and 70.3 Championships 5 times. Kevin also gets to as many Windermere Roadies group rides as he can.
