Guilford County Republican Party

The Guilford County Republican Party (GCGOP) annual precinct meetings and county convention will be held on March16th at the GCGOP headquarters: 3950 W Market Street  Greensboro  NC  27407.  All Republicans registered on or before January 31, 2013 are eligible to attend.  The doors will open at 8:00 AM with the precinct meetings beginning promptly at 9:00 AM.  Precinct Meetings usually last an hour or less, may last longer, but should be concluded by 11:30 AM.  Your attendance at the precinct meetings is not mandatory for you to attend the convention, but your election as a Precinct Chairperson secures your voting membership on the GCGOP executive committee.   There will be a lunch break after which the doors will re-open at 1:00 PM for onsite check-in and same day convention registration. Please do not bring cash for your registration. Check or credit/debit cards will be accepted.  Please help speed our registration process by registering in advance by following the link button below, and be sure to indicate your desire to attend the 6th, 12th, or state conventions.

The Annual GCGOP Convention is a very important meeting where in the odd numbered years the new local party leadership is elected., and other party organization issues, platform issues, and resolutions are discussed. The candidates for the offices of Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary will be voted on, and each candidate will have an opportunity to speak as to their qualifications and vision for the party. If you are serious about making a difference in local, state, and national issues please consider attending.  We expect all attendees to act in a businesslike and courteous manner.  Roberts Rules will be observed and for your convenience the current GCGOP Plan of Organization can be found in the DOCUMENTS BLOCK in the left column of this page. If you are unable to attend the county convention but still want to attend the District or State Conventions as a VOTING DELEGATE you must complete the registration process as the GCGOP is required to notify the NCGOP, the 6th and the 12th Congressional Districts in advance of the eligible voting delegates.
