School of Communication Wins Best of Show for “My Story, My Goal”
The University of Miami School of Communication has won a Best of Show award from The Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) for My Story, My Goal, a project sponsored by the school’s Knight Center for International Media. The award was announced on August 10 during AEJMC’s annual conference in St. Louis, Missouri.

The Knight Center for International Media uses the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) as a framework for defining the world’s most pressing issues. The Center works on major anchor projects that are focused on an underreported issue of global significance. Each project addresses multiple MDGs over significant blocks of time.
