About This Artist |

|
Stoned Records' first signing, Yes Sir Boss, have cultivated a truly original, distinct and indefinable sound that has elements of everything from a brooding Balkan blues band to a horn injected indie rock outfit. The ecstatic meeting of these diverse sounds makes YSB's funky, rootsy, uplifting tunes beguilingly unique. Their heavy blend of horn led hooks, offbeat rhythms and epic riffs provide the perfect backing for the memorable and catchy lyrics brought to life by the seductively expressive and husky vocals of front man Matt Sellors.
Appealing to wide audiences and captivating them with energetic soul, this Bristol based rabble of six, perform their live shows with a thrilling charm that has recently seen them complete a 40-date summer tour playing numerous headline slots at many of the UK's leading festivals and appearing on various radio shows, including live sessions for BBC Radio London and Rob Da Banks Radio 1 show.
Their unique sound has been brewing up a storm on the live circuit in the UK and, more recently, in Europe and Ireland. Following a string of dates in September supporting Joss Stone on her European "Soul Sessions 2 Tour," the band returned to the UK to embark upon a 25 date tour to support the October release of their eagerly-awaited debut album, "Desperation State". The album is scheduled for release in the rest of Europe in February 2013, and will be followed by an extensive tour of Germany, Switzerland, Austria, The Netherlands and France. |
