ACP Administration Control Panel, The Admin Panel of your site, which can be accessed through a link at the bottom of your Board Index.
Advanced Admin Panel Can be selected in the upper right corner of your Administration Control Panel (ACP). Here you will find all features available to you.

FTP File Transfer Protocol, it is a protocol which allows files to be transferred between computers. FTP Clients are programs that are used to transfer files via FTP, such as FileZilla and SmartFTP.
IP An IP address, or Internet Protocol address, is a unique address that identifies a specific computer or user.
MCP Moderator Control Panel, can be accessed through a link just above the forum list. Can only be seen when users have the correct permissions
Prune The operation where older posts are removed from the board to save space. This operation may be done manually on the ACP, or automatically by configuring Auto Prune. Pruning does not reduce a user post count, although it does reduce the number of posts (topics) reported as board activity.
RC Recovery Console, used to restore board settings, access root-admin (a hidden admin account always on your forum) and restore your forum to a previous time. Can be accessed here.
Simple Admin Panel Can be selected in the upper right corner of your Administration Control Panel (ACP). Designed for it's simplicity and being user friendly. It does not show all options available.
SMTP Simple Mail Transfer Protocol. It is a protocol for sending e-mails. By default, phpBB uses PHP's built-in mail function to send emaisl. However, phpBB will use SMTP to send emails if the required SMTP data is correctly set up, through the E-Mail Settings.
SQL Structured Query Language, this is the language used to work with databases.
