In 2005 English designer and Aid to Artisans board member Andrew Corrie and his partner opened Ochre, the Soho purveyor of beautiful, high-end furniture and accessories. The store's success, combined with years of traveling to craft fairs and interacting with talented craftspeople, gave Corrie the idea to create Canvas, a more affordable, yet no less beautiful line of sustainable, fair trade products.
