About Richard
Richard Dinnick is a writer of scripts, novels and comics. In 2012, Richard won the BBC Writersroom "Get a Squiggle On" opportunity to create a new show and to write for Cbeebeies. He is now writing for the BAFTA-nominated CBeebies TV show, Tree Fu Tom.
He also writes audio drama scripts for franchises such as Doctor Who, Stargate, Sherlock Holmes and Sapphire & Steel and the online phenomenon Moshi Monsters. He has also acted as script editor and assistant producer on a range of Sherlock Holmes audio dramas.
His first novel Alien Adventures was published by BBC Children’s Books in 2010 and he has since gone on to write books and short stories for Penguin UK, Titan Publishing, Black Library, Running Press and Snow Books.
He has also written comic strips for IDW and BBC Magazines and his first original graphic novel will be published in 2013.
Richard is currently developing several TV ideas – one of which, Elf Stackers is in the commissioning process with the BBC.
His agent is Alison Finch at JFL Agency.

RICHARD WRITES TV PILOT
Following an invitation to submit ideas for the pilot of a new programme the BBC are developing for children’s TV, Richard has been asked to write the pilot episode for the show.
RICHARD WRITES FOR TV'S TREE FU TOM
Richard is delighted to announce that he has been chosen to write for the second series of the BBC's flagship CBeebies show, Tree Fu Tom. The show is a CGI animation of 22-minute episodes and is a joint production between the BBC and Freemantle.
