From the Foreward –

No arts presenters organization with features exemplified by OPAS could be expected to survive for forty years, much less become internationally recognized — an organization whose funding includes student fees that are allocated annually; an organization that is part of a university without a college of fine arts situated in a rural area with a seven-county population of barely 500,000 and located ninety miles from the nearest metropolitan area (which has its own very successful performing arts organizations); an organization with a staff of four fulltime people (who have other significant duties) and which is substantially dependent on community, faculty and student volunteers for operations and fund raising. Fortunately, the dedicated and highly effective faculty and community volunteers, hundreds of student volunteers who give selflessly of their time, and the few but committed members of the OPAS staff have never become aware of what they cannot do. —Jim Reynolds

Having been in show business for forty years, I have to say that performing on the stage of Rudder is hands down the friendliest atmosphere I’ve ever experienced. Thanks be to Anne and her incredible staff.  This is a place to be proud of!
—Jaston Williams, co-author and co-star of the Tuna series
