Welcome to the Computing Service
The University Computing Service provides computing facilities and related services in support of research and teaching in the University of Cambridge, as follows:
- Networks, electronic mail and web authentication
- Centrally managed services to provide computing resources to individual members of the University and to institutions
- A wide range of support services for institutional and individually owned facilities and ancillary support services such as videoconferencing, printing, and photography and illustration
- Advice and consultancy services including a Service Desk for the centrally managed facilities, the Techlink support scheme for local computer staff and a wide range of training courses.

UCS teaching room moves 2013
As part of the planned move of the UCS this summer, we are proceeding with the more detailed planning of relocation of the Titan Teaching Rooms and the Service Desk (New Museums Site). Details and some critical dates have been published at [www.ucs.cam.ac.uk/about-us/ucs-move/teaching-rooms](www.ucs.cam.ac.uk/about-us/ucs-move/teaching-rooms), which will be kept updated as plans develop. In particular the Titan Teaching Rooms will close on 14th June after the last Examinations under Special Conditions, and a replacement teaching area on the New Museums Site will open in late September.
