Please look after your Raven password

Published on: 19 May 2009

  • Around 20 Raven passwords have recently been found to have been compromised and misused
  • Raven gives access to things that are important to you (such as webmail, CamSIS) and important to the University (such as access to commercial e-journals)
  • Think before typing your password on untrusted computers. Don't give it away or leave a written copy lying around. Don't leave it set to the initial default. Keep your own computers up-to-date with anti-virus and other anti-malware software to minimise the chance of it being snooped from your own computer.
  • If in doubt, change it
