DNSCrypt for Routers
Posted by u.n.known 207 days ago

As you have introduced DNSCrypt for MAC and Windows to be installed and operating locally installed it would be good evolution to have the DNSCrypt feature available on the local router to have all devices secured without having it locally installed. Whereas it is not possible e.g. for Internetradio devices to have it installed there.

DNSCrypt works on routers that can run open firwmares like Tomato, OpenWRT and DD-WRT. See www.linksysinfo.org/index.php?threads/dnscrypt-preview.37031/ for example.

The whole point is to authenticate communications between your device and 208.67.2220.220 / 208.67.222.222.

Great idea actually. Would love to see this. OpenDNS already has a partnership with Dlink and Netgear IIRC. Perhaps they could implement this as well.
