Thank you for your interest in using MapQuest maps, satellite imagery and related items (“Maps”). We’re going to ask you a series of question about how you plan to use our Maps in your project and then we will tell you our rules for using our Maps.
Unless our rules specifically tell you that you need our express permission to move forward, no further contact is necessary. Please note you may only use our Maps if you meet all of our listed requirements and rules. All other uses are not permitted.
Personal Use Printing Requirements
Your use must be purely non-commercial. You can not make any money off the maps or your project. Examples: wedding or birthday invitations, flyers for a free event, etc.
You may print up to 15,000 copies in a year. Each map = 1 copy. Each print run – 1 copy. So 3 maps x 2 print runs x 500 items per print run = 3,000 copies.
Non-Profit Specific Printing Requirements
You must be a non-profit organization and your use must benefit the non-profit organization.
You may crop a map but you can not alter, blur, delete, add to or otherwise distort or modify any portion of the maps. The use must reflect how the map or image actually looks online.
You must comply with the Attributions Requirements at all times.
No map can exceed 8.5 x 11 inches.
You may print up to 15,000 copies in a year. Each map = 1 copy. So 3 maps x 2 print runs x 2,000 items per print run = 12,000 copies
Commercial Use Specific Printing Requirements
You would need to insert the NAVTEQ on Board logo in the same general size, location and manner as the MapQuest logo but it does not have to be placed on the map image.

Maps MapQuest may not be used as the central part of printed navigational content , such as guidebooks, atlases, renional maps, tour books, etc.

Our maps cannot be the central purpose for your publication.
Each map can be no larger than 12x14 in
You may print up to 60,000 copies in a year for free. Each map = 1 copy. Each print run = 1 copy.
For example, a newspaper with a morning and an evening edition would have 2 print runs. So 2 maps used x 2 print runs x 10,000 papers per print run = 40,000 copies
If you wish to print more than 60,000 copies in a year, you will need to either purchase our Enterprise Edition license agreement by contacting our Platform Sales Team at developer.mapquest.com/web/info/contact or use our Open.MapQuest.com maps and follow its usage rules.

We require attribution when Maps is shown and do not agree to put attribution at the end of any movie, TV show or video.
Attribution Requirements
You must always provide full attribution for all uses of our Maps as outlined below. You do not have our permission to use any Maps that does not follow our attribution requirements. Attributions can change when you pan the map or change the zoom level. Attributions for all of our .com products are found in the bottom right corner of the map.
You can find our copyright information at the bottom of the map. Please see copyright information in example below.
All copyright notices and attributions must remain unchanged and clearly visible on any map used.
You do not have to include the MapQuest logo or the scale bars if space does not permit but you must always include the attribution line. You cannot substitute the MapQuest logo for the MapQuest name in the attribution line.

FAQ
Can you sign an agreement or letter indicating I have permission to use your Maps?
We are unable to sign any letter or contract specifying that your project or use has our explicit permission. The only exception is when you arrange for permission or use in motion picture, TV, or other broadcast medium.
