Our MapQuest Customer Support Team is always happy to help assist you and provides multiple ways for you to report a question or issue. Click on the links below to view more information on common requests and issues.

Advertisement Issues

The ads on the MapQuest site are screened to ensure they are not intrusive or inappropriate. In addition, all of our expandable ads are user-initiated and require a close button at the top and bottom of each ad.  If you have encountered an issue with one of our ads, let us know using our Customer Support Help Request Form. We will investigate the issue and take any necessary steps to address the issue.

Business Listing Requests

MapQuest now offers our MapQuest Business Listings. This is a self-service tool that allows you to create a new business listing or claim an existing listing to update your information or submit a correction for your location marker.

To get started go to listings.mapquest.com.

If your business listing needs to be removed from MapQuest or if you experience a problem with MapQuest Business Listings, please contact our Support Team.

Please note, MapQuest Business Listings supports only US businesses at this time. To request to add, delete or update a Canadian Business Listing, please visit our Canada Listing Business form.

Driving Directions or Data Errors

We receive our map and road data from the map provider NAVTEQ and we generate our directions based on data that we currently have available. If you have found an error with the directions you have received, please let us know by using our Customer Support Help Request Form. Please include the route you received and a brief explanation where the directions were incorrect. We’ll then be happy to submit a report to NAVTEQ on your behalf to resolve the error. Direction errors may include:

  • Unnecessary U-turns in your directions
  • Gated entrances or limited access
  • Mislabeled streets that cause problems with your directions
  • Highway exit errors: a new exit has been added that is not in our directions, or an old exit has been closed
  • New highways or roads not included in our data
  • Permanently closed roads or bridges
  • Non-existent roads
  • Private drives
  • Wrong way down one-way street
  • Other driving directions error

In addition, you may also report data errors to us. Data errors might include:

  • Road label incorrect
  • Road missing or displays incorrectly
  • Wrong place displayed
  • Dead end
  • New developments
  • New roads

Residential

We receive our data from the map provider NAVTEQ . If your address is missing from the map data or mapping incorrectly, we’d be happy to submit a report to NAVTEQ on your behalf. To ensure our report is accurate, we ask that you use our Customer Support Help Request Form with the address along with the and correct latitude and longitude for it’s location. To provide this information, please see below:

1. Go to developer.mapquest.com/web/tools/lat-long-finder

2. Enter the address in the address form and click the Show Map button.

3. Move the purple location marker to the correct location.

4. Once it’s in the correct location, click on the Copy LAT/Long button located on the top right of the map. Reply to this email and paste the lat/long in your response. (To paste, right-click on your mouse and select paste.)
