For American Airlines, the Sky’s the Limit for Helping Kids In Need.
The American Airlines Kids in Need program provides worldwide support for children and their families, as well as for organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life for children with needs for medical, educational, social services issues and/or for those that heighten public awareness of children's issues. Beneficiaries of the program include individuals as well as organizations with needs related to medical, educational and social concerns, and/or causes that heighten public awareness of children’s issues.

AAdvantage members play a major role in helping American support some of the world’s foremost organizations dedicated to caring for children by donating their unused miles through American’s Miles for Kids in Need® program. In addition to the millions of miles American donates annually, last year AAdvantage® members donated close to 117 million of their unused AAdvantage miles. These miles help hundreds of children’s organizations like the ones listed below. The miles have also been used to provide air transportation to nearly 300 critically ill children, and their parents/guardians, in need of medical treatment.

In the spring of 2012, American expanded its long-standing partnership with UNCF®, the nation’s largest minority education organization. So, if your plans call for travel, or if you like to give the gift of travel, we hope you’ll join us in support of the UNCF® mission. With your purchase of an American Airlines UNCF® co-branded gift card, American will donate $5 of every $50 spent to UNCF®. Our hope is to help students to go to and through college.
