Growing up in a working class family I was never afraid of a little sweat. With a dollop of elbow grease, Sour Patch Kids, and an obnoxious punk ethos — I set out to prove to my immediate familiars that a living can be made with letters and colors. The jury is still out. I think great design is utilitarian. It should never be the focus or the hero, but instead the vehicle. That is where my passion lies. I enjoy finding the perfect balance where design, interface, and content are a powerful ally to the overall experience.

When I’m not madly kerning type, working at the Agency, or wrenchin’ at way at the HTML pipes — I can be found at my humble abode in the wilds of Long Island with my wife and illustration aficionado Stephanie. There we raise wild kittens by hand, have foot races in the backyard and dream wild-eyed about the opening a comic shop. I fancy myself as a terrible bartender and even worse cook.
I’m available for freelance work or tips on vegetarian grilling.
