Department of Global Environmental Health Sciences

"Through my interdisciplinary training in water quality, I was able to travel to Cambodia and develop an appropriate drinking water solution using solar water disinfection. This drinking water method is now recognized as a global safe water solution for the millions suffering enteric diseases."

- Ryan Sinclair, PhD, ENHS alumnus and Assistant Professor of Environmental and Occupational Health, Loma Linda University, School of Public Health

Environmental factors directly impact the health and well being of people throughout the world.  Water, air, soil and food are shared resources that transcend geographic boundaries, economic status, and industrial development. From pollution to disasters, environmental health encompasses the impact of environmental factors on human health.
