    Tennis Permits and Renewal Applications

    Off-Season

The 2012 tennis season has ended. Tennis permits are not required to order to use an outdoor court in the offseason.

Tennis permits and renewals are not being processed at this time. Please check back in early March for updated information on renewing and purchasing a permit for the 2013 tennis season.

Indoor courts will continue to be available during the off-season. Please visit our Tennis Courts page to find an indoor court near you. Please call the concessionaire with any questions about pricing or other information.

For all other athletic field permits, please refer to our individual sport pages for seasonal deadlines.

Online Tennis Court Reservations Pilot Program

During the tennis season, some courts accept online reservations as a part of a pilot program.

    Tennis Season

The Parks tennis season starts on the first Saturday of April and ends on the Sunday before Thanksgiving.

Full-season permits for adults 18-61 cost $200. Permits for seniors 62 and over cost $20 and permits for juniors below 18 cost $10. Single-play and reservation tickets cost $15.

    • All individuals are required to purchase a tennis permit (full season or single play) in order to use a tennis court.
    • Court users must adhere to the Tennis Rules & Regulations and Guidelines for Use of Field and Court Space.

Permits purchased are good for use until the end of the season. The same fees and expiration date apply for anyone interested in purchasing a permit late in the season.

For singles play, permits are good for one hour of tennis each day, in any borough. For doubles play, permits are good for two hours of tennis each day in any borough.
