Welcome to Haiku, Inc!

Haiku, Inc. was founded in New York State's Division of Corporations as a Not-for-Profit Organization in July of 2003 by the founder, long time leader, and visionary of the Haiku Project, Michael Phipps. It is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) public charity, specifically as a Type C corporation pursuant to Section 201 of the Not-for-Profit Corporation Law. In a single sentence the purpose of Haiku, Inc. is to support the Haiku Project and to further the development of Haiku® through the use of its assets, which are acquired through donations.

Haiku R1 Alpha 4

Haiku, Inc. is excited to announce that the Haiku Project has made its fourth official release, R1 Alpha 4! We would like to thank all donors enabling development contracts funded through Haiku, Inc. and Haikuware's Bounty program, the HSA for organizing the BeGeistert conferences, and Google's Summer of Code program. This release spans over 3,800 commits, includes over 1,000 bug fixes, many other improvements and new features. (press release)

Haiku R1 Alpha 4 is available for download. We are also making available a commemorative R1 Alpha 4 CD. This commemorative CD is to celebrate this significant milestone in the project and the proceeds will be used to speed the development of Haiku!
