Network-based filtering works very well while the computers are all on your network. But what about laptops and mobile devices when they’re OFF your network? For most corporate and government organizations, laptops are a standard part of the IT landscape. For education, 1:1 laptop programs and the students’ own devices coming onto the school networks present new filtering and web threat management challenges.

Netsweeper’s Mobile Filtering options help you to ensure enforcement of Acceptable Use Policies or continuing CIPA compliance even when devices are off your network. This drives continued eSafety and productivity when off the network and also improves your network security by continuing to block access to malware and other web-borne threats.

Hybrid Deployment Netsweeper’s Mobile Filtering solutions can be deployed using the same servers that give you in-the-network filtering. This simplifies deployment and ensures consistent policy management regardless of the context.
Simple Rollout Through integration to your directory services or other technologies, the Netsweeper client can be pushed out to your remote users quickly and easily.
Integrated Reporting Just as with users of the network-based filtering, logging and reporting of mobile users is supported.
Small Footprint Client Netsweeper Mobile Filtering has a very small footprint once installed because all the filter settings, user policies, logs and reports, and URL category databases are all stored on the base network's Policy Server.
Browser Independent Netsweeper Mobile Filtering is browser independent because it is a separate application (not a browser plug-in).
Protocol Management Operating at the protocol level, Netsweeper Mobile Filtering allows administrators to control more than just HTTP traffic; you can also control the use of file-sharing programs, messaging programs, voice over-ip (VOIP) protocols, and more.
Windows and Mac Clients Available for Windows and Macintosh (10.4 and higher) OS.
