A team of scientists—including Associate Professor Beverly Saylor from the Department of Earth, Environmental and Planetary Sciences—has announced the discovery of a 3.4 million-year-old partial foot from the Woranso-Mille area of the Afar region of Ethiopia.
Two grants totaling $500,000 from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation will support the launch of the re-designed Joint Doctoral Program in Art History, jointly administered by the Department of Art History and Art and the Cleveland Museum of Art.
